HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

HRMD

Following the introduction of the 1987 Educational Reforms, Operations of GES have

been decentralized to ensure close and effective implementation of the Reforms.

The Human Resource Management and Development is one of the units and these are the duties that they perform to assist the District Director.

Some of the duties are:

  • posting of Newly Trained Teachers.

  • transfer of teachers.

  • training and staff Development.

  • ensuring staff welfare.

  • responsible for School Health Education Programme.

  • processing application for maternity leave.

  • processing study-leave-with-pay applications.

  • Handling of official correspondence reffered by the District Director.

  • reponsible for Peripatetic Matters.

  • handling of Promotions below the rank of Principal Superintendent.

  • handling of matters concerning 2nd cycle institutions in the district.

  • handling the selection of teachers for the District Best Teacher Awards Scheme.

  • performing any other duties assigned by the District Director from time to time.
